The War on the Heart of the Human Family
‘The experience we had [in family courts] was a prophecy of what is going to happen to the people as a whole. That’s what I now realise. Because the brutalisation that was happening in those courts, to individual people — 20, 25 years ago — that has now burst out into everything. That’s the future — unless we can stop them.
‘When I started to write about this stuff, I didn’t know I was over any target. I didn’t know there WAS a target. But there was. I was over the actual epicentre of what they were trying to do, which is to destroy the family by first of all removing the father. Then to destroy the mother. Then to take the children and scatter them to the four winds, to make the State their parent, to dispense them as it pleased. And all that’s happened since, through the various referendums — the so-called Children Referendum, the so-called Marriage Referendum, the abortion referendum. Even those episodes, I saw as separate, almost random episodes. Now they’re all of a piece.’
