Rebooting the Transcendent Imagination in Unimaginable Times
Can Western civilisation recover its spine?
Like all conversations worth having right now, this one, with Greg Moffitt of Legalise Freedom, recorded at the beginning of August, 2021, proceeds with the shadow of medical tyranny looming large in the background. Something very dark is unfolding at this time which cannot simply be explained away in the name of a public health emergency, or as a temporary interruption to business-as-usual. What is happening is a spiritual battle, for the soul — and possibly the continued earthly existence — of man.
This podcast shifts between mainstream media manipulation and the plausibility of a higher power to the pursuit of meaning and purpose in life, the nature of freedom and the growing obsession with so-called safety, the loss of the liberal instinct, the emergence of science as the new religion, and the assaults on human consciousness which now threaten human survival.
The conversation touches on ‘religion’ and ‘spirituality’, but is centrally about the ‘raw, real and very practical dimension of the human being that is connected to the Infinite and the Absolute’, which is to say it concerns the loss of God to the imagination of — especially (if only for now) — Western humanity. This means also the loss to Western civilisation of the elements that have provided its ‘spine’ for 2,000 years. Recovering these can occur only in a process that must necessarily happen beyond words.
Due to the logistics of Legalise Freedom’s operation, the podcast is in two parts.
